Every supplier, every material order, every aerial report — they all land in one inbox, and never get retyped again.
Automatic
Slate reads each new supplier invoice and posts it — payment, PDF and note — the moment it arrives.
It pulls the amount, date and PO, finds the matching job, and does the same three steps your office does by hand: post the payment, attach the PDF, leave a note.
Accurate
It matches invoices to jobs by number, address and customer — and never pays the same bill twice.
It remembers what it already posted, so a duplicate never slips through. And when something looks off, it doesn't guess — it sets the invoice aside for you instead.
No attachment, no problem
Dumpster rentals, disposal, equipment — plenty of suppliers put the whole bill in the email itself, no PDF attached.
Most tools look for attachments and miss those entirely. Tell Slate which suppliers do it and it reads those emails too, the same way as any other invoice.
More than one inbox
Invoices rarely land in one place. Connect every inbox they reach and Slate goes through all of them in one run.
And if the same invoice arrived in two inboxes, you review it once — not twice.
Beyond the inbox
Not everything lands in the inbox. Upload an invoice or a payment yourself — snap a photo or drop in a PDF — and Slate reads it, tells an invoice from a crew payment from a check, and files each in the right folder. Several in one photo? It splits them out, one per job.
On the job siteiPhone · early access
Point the phone at a check or a pay sheet on the tailgate, and it goes through the same reading and matching as the desktop — right then.
Pair it once by scanning a code from Slate on your computer — the connection stays on the phone's own Keychain, nothing typed by hand. From there it's the same engine: the same job matching, the same duplicate guard, filed to the same CRM. It's in a private beta on iPhone right now, ahead of a public release; tell us if you want in.
You're in control
Pick the job from the list, then choose what to post — payment, PDF, note — with a tap.
Splitting one bill across several jobs? Give each its own amount — Slate does exactly what you picked, and nothing you didn't. And when you can't decide yet, put it on hold with a note; it waits for you in Review, even after you close Slate.
For the old ones
Old bills often carry no job number and no address — just a date.
Turn on your install calendar and Slate looks at which crews were scheduled around that day, and offers those jobs. It never files on a date alone — you always confirm.
Nothing gets lost
Every document Slate touched — loaded, already there, or skipped — is kept in one searchable place.
Filter by outcome or date, and export it to CSV when your books need it. No more digging through the inbox to prove what got paid.
Built to disappear
A clean desktop app that stays out of your way — light or dark, matching your system. Every release is signed and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it without a single warning. New versions install on their own — nothing to babysit.
